Installation & Setup Guide
Resources You Will Need:
Hosting account and domain name: NameCheap.com
WordPress installed: WordPress.org
FTP Program such as FileZilla or CuteFTP
Autoresponder account (optional): Aweber.com
Step #1: Install the WP Mobile Pro Template
Download and extract the files from WPMobileProTemplate.zip. Using an FTP program,
upload the following files to your themes directory:
mobile_Images
mobile_styles.css
mobilePro.php *
Upload to: /www/wp-contents/themes/[name of your theme]
Step #2: Install and Activate the WP Mobile Pro Plugin
Download and extract the files from WPMobileProPlugin.zip. Using an FTP program,
upload “WPMobileProPlugin” folder to your plugins directory:
Upload to: /www/wp-contents/plugins/
Next, activate the Plugin inside the WordPress dashboard. Find this on the sidebar and
activate the WP Mobile Pro Plugin. Once you have activated it, you will see the link for
the plugin appear in the sidebar.
Now you can view the plugin and continue to setup the plugin.Step #2: Create a Mobile Page
Now that you have all the files setup, you need to create a new page for your mobile
website. Go to "Add Page" and then select "Mobile Pro Page" from the Template list in
the right. You do not need to add content to the page. Just click “Publish” and continue.
Next, select the full URL to this page, go to the WP Mobile Pro Plugin dashboard and
enter the URL in the first input box so that it connects and updates content.
Now you can use the plugin to add your content and make design customizations.
Step #3: Customize Your Mobile Page
First you can change the different styles such as:
Background Style
Navigation Link Styles
Tabbed Navigation Styles
Each attribute has 7 different styles. Feel free to mix it up for a unique design.
Next, edit the content for each section to fully customize the mobile page, which will be
automatically displayed for mobile devices.
Save all of your changes, social network links, etc and then click Preview iPhone and
you will see your mobile page as it would be seen in a mobile web browser.
Step #4: Add the Mobile Detection Script
Inside the your CURRENT theme you need to find the file header.php and add the
following code to the top of the file to make sure it redirects for mobile web browsers.
